Visiting Hours
At
Valley View Regional Hospital we strive to keep visiting policies as reasonable
as possible to allow ample time for visiting with friends and family, while
maintaining the highest quality of care for our patients.
The visiting hours in general
nursing units are from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and are strictly observed. (In
specialized units such as the Intensive Care Unit, visiting times are different.
Click
here for information specific to this unit.) Entrance doors in the main
lobby are locked at 9:30 p.m. and remain locked until 5:00 a.m. After
visiting hours, entrance into the hospital will only be accessible through the
Emergency Room. Entry will be solely permitted to hospital personnel, law
enforcement officers in uniform, and patients' family members who are given
permission by physicians or hospital administration.
Children over two years of age
may visit in general nursing units as long as they are accompanied by a
responsible adult at all times.
Parking and RV Hookups
Visitor parking is conveniently
located adjacent to the hospital. Parking for visitors, patients being admitted
to the hospital, outpatient services and services provided by the Emergency Room
are located at the front of the building. Cancer Treatment Center parking is
located on the hospital's south side near the Center's entrance.
Free RV hookups, with water
and electricity, are located at the rear (east side) of the hospital. This
service is provided for family members of hospital patients. Requests for an RV
space must be registered through the hospital's Security department. Please
check with the nurses' station on your floor or inquire at the Information Desk
in the front lobby.
Cafeteria
The hospital's Dining Room,
located on the ground floor, provides a complete food line three times a day.
You'll also find an assortment of ready-made sandwiches, pastries, beverages,
snacks, and a salad and soup bar at lunch and dinner. The Grill is available for
home-style burgers, chicken sandwiches, French fries and more.
Beginning May 1, 2004, the
hospital cafeteria will be closed nightly during the hours of 12:00 a.m. to 6:00
a.m.

Special telephones with volume
controls are available for patients with a hearing impairment. Please ask your
nurse to arrange for installation.
