Perform routine office procedures that require skills with various office equipment including computers. Transcribes dictation accurately. This position is responsible for serving patients by welcoming and greeting patients and visitors, scheduling appointments, and maintaining records and accounts.

Performs ongoing financial analyzes of payer compliance with contractual obligation, revenue-recovery projects, denial management, and health-industry research. Integrates and analyses data from disparate sources to create useful information about financial performance, utilizing statistics and/or statistical process control methodology as appropriate, to draw conclusion and make recommendations to customer. Perform tasks such as the development of databases and spreadsheets for use by staff, while educating and supporting staff in the use of these tools. Will provide analysis and/or support, as needed during contract negotiation and payer claims issues. Work closely with payers, both claims payment and provider relations, and staff throughout the organization. Will have routine contact with legal services, negotiators and medical offices.

Assessing the preparation for individual surgical cases with direction from circulation nurse in all areas of specialty.  Maintains and cares for surgical equipment/ instrumentation.  Helps anticipate needs of surgical team and provides necessary services based on individual patient and procedure. Maintains aseptic and safe environment during surgical procedures. Taking Call is required.

Provides respiratory therapy to inpatient and outpatients of all ages. 

• Participate inPre-admission Screening process
• Calculation of RUG categories based on data collection
• Complete Minimum Data Set (MDS) and RAI (Resident Assessment Instrument) forms and submit as required
• Maintain MDS schedule and ensure timely transmission of all MDS forms to the state agency
• Ensure that documentation in patient’s medical record supports the MDS and the interdisciplinary plan of care
• Calculate RUG (Resource Utilization Groups) levels and provide RUG billing information to the Business Office of the organization
• Lead multidisciplinary team meetings
• Participate in developing individualized patient care plan, identifying the needs of the patient and project outcomes as required by Federal and State regulations
• Collaborate with Care Management and Discharge planners

Assists Physician as needed, prepares patients for examination/treatment, replenishes clinical/office supplies, keeps exam room, work area in order, assists office manager/receptionist as needed, sterilizes office instruments.

Performs a variety of clinical and non-clinical functions to meet patient’s and family’s needs for basic nursing care. Functions as secretary, receptionist, and performs environmental care tasks and computer order entry. Works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse as delegated.

Take dietary orders and freezer orders. Assist with Meals on Wheels. Perform clerical duties such as data entry and filing. Proficient customer service skills a must.
