| February 23, 2010 VVRH welcomes new physician Dr. Jabeen received her undergraduate and medical degrees from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan.
Now known as Dow University of Health Sciences Dow is the second oldest medical school in Pakistan and has long been considered highly prestigious. After moving to the United States in 2002, Dr. Jabeen completed her requirements to practice in the United States in Camden, New Jersey, and moved to Oklahoma soon after.
“I love internal medicine because I can see many different patients with many different issues,” said Dr. Jabeen, who has been practicing at Central Oklahoma Family Medical Center in Konawa for more than a year. “I am excited to join Valley View and begin building relationships with many new patients. I appreciate this community and I’m looking forward to serving the people in it.”
Valley View is excited about the new partnership as well. “Dr. Jabeen will be a great addition to the Valley View family,” said Bob Thompson, Valley View’s president and chief executive officer. “She is yet another step in the right direction toward an even brighter future for Valley View.”
Since moving to the United States, Dr. Jabeen and her husband, local pulmonologist, Dr. Imtiaz Ahmed, have had twin children; a boy and a girl, now age 3. They enjoy quality family time, playing sports and traveling.
