November 18, 2009 Valley View Provides High-Tech Heart Care Ada — With a new and improved $1.4 million heart cath lab, Valley View Regional Hospital provides Ada and area residents heart care close to home. “With our new high-tech, all-digital cardiovascular imaging system, we can see images of the blood vessels and the anatomy of the heart like never before,” said Tim Medcalf, M.D., a Valley View cardiologist. “We have sharper images and because of that we can better pinpoint the diagnosis for our cardiovascular patients. This technology is the same as what larger hospitals use all across the country and we have it right here in Ada.”

July 21, 2010 Valley View offers unique speech therapy treatment Ada — Valley View Regional Hospital officials say Kelli Lowry, hospital speech therapist, is recognized as one of few therapists in Oklahoma qualified to use Lee Silverman Voice Training (LSVT). LSVT is useful for patients with speech problems, particularly those caused by Parkinson’s or stroke. The treatment involves 16 sessions in a month, stimulating the muscles of the voice box through exercises.
