Wound Healing Center
The Wound Healing Center offers specialized treatment for hard to heal wounds related to diabetes, trauma, surgery, the aging process, or any coexisting disease process a person may have.
Open five days a week, the Wound Healing Center team includes a full-time Medical Director, one Clinical Nurse Specialist certified in Wound, Ostomy, and continence care, one Certified Diabetes Educator and two Certified Hyperbaric Technicians.
Hyperbaric Medicine
Three Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy chambers housed in Valley View’s Wound Healing Center provide patients with the latest treatment in wound healing. This treatment assists with improvement in blood flow and resolution of infection within the problem wound. Patients are placed in a pressurized chamber and supplied with 100% oxygen. The oxygen, upon entry into the blood stream, results in a rapid acceleration in the healing process. Valley View’s patient heal rate is 96%, compared to the national average of 88%.
