Valley View Regional Hospital Accredited by Joint Commission

Valley View Regional Hospital has once again earned The Joint Commission (JC) Gold Seal of Approval for healthcare quality and safety. JC accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards. The JC’s accreditation process helps organizations identify and correct problems and improve the safety and quality of care and services provided. To earn and maintain the JC’s gold seal, an organization must undergo an unannounced JC on-site survey at least every three years.

Achieving and maintaining accreditation is accomplished through the efforts of all co-workers including staff, volunteers and physicians. The assessment includes evaluating care delivered to patients, verbal and written information provided to JC, on-site observations and interviews by JC surveyors, as well as documents provided by the hospital.

During hositalization, if there are concerns regarding your care or safety, please contact hospital management.  If the concern cannot be resolved through the hospital, you may contact the Joint Commission Office of Quality Monitoring at 1-800-994-6610 or emailing complaint@jcaho.org.
