Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

Valley View's EMS is a Paramedic Level Life Support  Ambulance System, the highest level of licensure an EMS branch can obtain. Paramedics, unlike lower licensed Emergency Medical Technicians, are able to offer advanced care. At least two-thirds of  the EMS staff are licensed paramedics, which means every request for an emergency ambulance unit will have at least one paramedic on board.

Our EMS unit is also one of the few hospital-based ambulance services in south-central and southeastern Oklahoma. As a hospital-based ambulance service, our EMS staff is able to maintain direct contact with our physicians in the emergency room at all times. Their requests for preferred treatment are then carried out en route to the hospital, which means your treatment plan is put in place immediately, not precious minutes later when you arrive at the hospital.

To better serve the needs of Ada and Pontotoc County, an EMS sub-station was activated at the corner of Fourth Street and Johnston, which eliminated an estimated 8-10 minutes off of our response time to families in the area.
