Valley View's Respiratory Therapy department staff are either certified as a respiratory therapy technician, or registered as a respiratory therapist. Every member is also trained to perform intubation and extubation functions/procedures.

Some of the department's high-tech equipment includes seven adult micro-processor ventilators, two infant ventilators and a pulmonary function device--a piece rivaled by few hospitals in the state.
